12 – 13 – 14 o’clock? No the Cuckoo is back in force

Having grown up in Germany where everyone has a good  old Black Forest Cuckoo clock, unconsciously I always count the cuckoos to determine time, upon hearing them.

Each year the return of the Cuckoo, here in the Ribeira Sacra Galicia, takes me by surprise.

Thank good we have a small factory in the distance whose siren we can just about hear, thus we are not reliant on the multiple times given by the multitude of cuckoos, cuckolding lots of other birds.
