Holidays are coming – Xmas fair in Mer Sober 18th December
I love this old Cola advert. Whenever
I’m reminded of oncoming xmas I have to hum this.
Here in rural Galicia the onslaught of xmas comes at a reasonable time when there is enough shelf space due to the reduced amount of fresh products in late autumn / winter.
It’s mainly our chinese shops who spear head this.
If I’m not mistaken Confuzius said “…the early worm attracts the bird…” or thereabouts.

Feria de navidad Mer Sober
The 2nd “Mercadillo de Navidad” will take place on the 18th of December.
Our own and, of course, products and produce from artesans and friends will be available.
If you haven’t been here, we know it’s not easy to find, but there will be plenty of road signs.
To see what you can expect have a look on last years slide show
If you can’t make it, weather permitting we will be on the Sober market on the 12th of December.

Frosty morning (November 27th)
Here are some of the things we do and it would be great to have a day like this.
See you on the 12th or 18th…… Expat

Dear Barbara und Martin
Chris & fam.
Looks like you have been very busy preparing you next Christmas market… I can’t believe that December is just around the corner! The first snow fell on Basel 2 nights ago and today is freezing cold.
A cold, that’s what I’m presently fighting against…needed much sleep! I’ll call you this weekend! Warm greetings from Basel
