This is not meant in any way derogatively or insulting but at least here in Galicia the average person is not very tall. One realises this when trying to buy mattresses (“colchones”) and laminate frames.

The sheer size of the property and a lot of issues needing to be tackled in parallel made visible progress very slow.
BUT now we are putting the last finishing touches to the first, admittedly small, bedroom. The second bathroom is also coming along nicely. It may just be usable for the first visitors in 10 [...]
So we had a quick break. A couple of days in the UK and than for a week to a wedding in Benishov near Prague in the Czech Republic.
We had a great time and guess what we brought back?
Nice window handles which will make perfect door handles for our little renovation project.
