Contrary to others like France and Germany here in rural Galicia we got a way lightly.
On Saturday, as predicted well in advance, at about 5pm we started to experience severe gusts.
We went out twice to secure one of our poly tunnels as the wind had gotten into it and was starting to drag the foil [...]
So we are in our new house for about three weeks and thought to give a noise report:

As no HGV can get near our house the only road noise is the odd car, neighbours tractor the horn when the bread van comes round and on Wednesdays a different honk from the fish monger.

It is a bit inconsiderate of friends and family not having moved to Spain as well. One realises this when wanting to stay in contact and reaches for the phone. Telefonica who kindly activated the land line (the one we bought with the house attached) has no qualms to milk the desperate.
