Last Sunday we where treated to a concert given by the kid’s of Sober.
It was their “fin de courso” performance staged in the auditory. No wonder Soberanians turned out in force.
OK it wasn’t London Philharmonics, but seeing kids of all ages be encouraged to turn to music and been given the opportunity to perform and show off was worth attending.
There also where prices and again I feel that recognition is important. These are precious and proud moments for all involved and encouraging music will keep part of the inheritance of Galicia alive.

The series of concerts organised by the Sober council 2007/2008 was excellent and the caliber of musicians outstanding. I like to thank all involved for doing this.
For us as “Estranjeros” it is important not only to show an interest in what is happening around us but also try to actively participate. Attending events organised for the people is one way of being seen to participate and take an active interest.
We look forward to a new season of activities, concerts, festivals and more.
It would be nice though if Sober could again organise some casual Spanish lectures. It is different to have a once or twice weekly focus or just picking it up as one goes along.
